Bit random and not sure how many apprentices are on here yet as this site seems new, but is it easy to meet people your age on an apprenticeship? My main worry is ending up in a team where everyone is way older and missing the social side

Hey, great question! As a current degree apprentice, I can totally relate to your concern - I felt the exact same before I joined my apprenticeship. One of the first things I want to mention is that I met the Co-Founder of @ApprenticeOne (@Archie) at my apprenticeship - I genuinely have made so many new friends during this time, including people who I love to socialise with outside of the work environment. Yes, it is likely that you may be working with many people who are double or even triple your age, but it is very unlikely that you’ll be the only apprentice at your company, and there will be people close to your age. The social side of things will naturally be very different to those at uni, but this shouldn’t be seen in a negative light. I wish you the best of luck in your journey!

Depends on the place but my cohort helped loads. I knew nobody when I started and it was fine

this is one of my worries aswell. guess it depends how big the apprentice intake is
