just came across this on LinkedIn and it looks pretty new but has anyone else applied for both uni and apprenticeships? I like the idea of working straight away but im not completely sure what job I want long term so uni still feels safer

Hey, thanks for coming along! When I applied for degree apprenticeships I was in year 13, and I applied for 5 universities via UCAS just in case I didn’t get any offers. I would strongly recommend other students to do the same since you aren’t ever obligated to accept any university offers or apprenticeship offers. No harm in keeping your options open. im doing both. feels better having options until I actually know what I want
I applied to uni as a backup when I was applying for apprenticeships. You dont really need to decide properly until you have actual options in front of you
